Spring has sprung!
Aaaah, spring…my favorite season. The temps are warmer, the flowers are blooming, and the birds are chirping. We’ve had an unusually warm spring here in the DC area. It was almost 90 degrees on Easter Sunday – no winter coat over our Sunday best this year! Yay…I love it! Another thing I love about spring? The colors! The pastel pinks, blues, greens, and yellows that pop up around the house feel so fresh and happy after a long winter.
One of the easiest spots in the home to refresh and show your enthusiasm for any new season is on the table. We have loads of flowering trees and spring bulbs in the landscape, so I’ve had a blast with tablescapes over the last few weeks. When I received a set of gorgeous blue and white linen napkins from Collier Rose Ink the first thing that popped into my head was “it reminds me of Herend”. (Then I learned that my friends at Collier Rose Ink call this color ‘Herend Blue’…so clearly not an original thought on my part!).

Cooper Collier and Nicki Rose are the creative geniuses behind Collier Rose Ink. They combined their love and knowledge of interior and graphic designs to produce an amazing line of fabric, wallpaper, and home accessories. Inspired by eye-catching pattern, rich color, and elegant details, their collection is fresh, playful and timeless. I’ve been experimenting with fun napkin folds lately and these napkins – 100% cotton, hand-screened and sun-dried – are the perfect weight and texture.
