Color Crush | Aquamarine
Named after the mineral aquamarine, a gemstone found in granite, this soothing color inspires calm and relaxation. Aquamarine, from the Latin aqua marinus, means “water of the sea”, referring to its watery bluish green hue. Long associated with healing, calmness, and balance, few other colors inspire such peacefulness and tranquility.
While it is often thought of as a spring and summer color, aqua is quite versatile and easy to use year round. Aquamarine is complicated with just enough blue that it isn’t a green and just enough black that it isn’t a baby blue. One of my favorite light colors, I love that aqua is more sophisticated than most pastels, and I’m drawn to the surreal feeling that it brings to a space. This blue-green color appeals to both men and women and looks good on everyone. Added bonus? Aquamarine complements other colors beautifully, and as a blue/green/gray, it is quite neutral.
Elegant, serene and timeless in the home.
Love, love, love the jewels.
