We are slowly transitioning to fall here in the DC area. A warm September had most of us hanging on to summer a bit longer than usual. Now that October is here, I am starting to get a bit itchy to decorate for Halloween. But before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s take a peek at a few fall vignettes from Partridge Run Lane.
Doing fall in the pool house
It was a balmy afternoon, why fight it? I put the pumpkins in the pool house! As a southern girl, I love the warm weather. I mean, seriously, who wants to wear a coat over their Halloween costume?
I’m completely smitten with heirloom pumpkins this year. Our local markets sold out early, so I was lucky to find some of these beauties!
I’ve had these silver pumpkins from Target for years.
These glittered and mercury glass pumpkins arrived yesterday. I love them and will be able to use them through Thanksgiving.
Another one of my favorite fall colors this year is plum. This color works well in our house, especially in rooms where orange tones compete with the surroundings.
Happy fall, everyone! Join us for dinner in the barn, next!
