The Littlest House
… One of the best things about social media is that it’s social, which means that you get to meet new people! And, how awesome when we realize that our new friends are not only incredibly talented but also super kind? I’m here to tell you, it’s amazing, and the reason that we love our Style Spotlight series! Today, we are shining the light on our friend, Jess, the artist behind The Littlest House!
Wow! Just, Wow!
Jess at The Littlest House paints the most magnificent custom watercolor house portraits. When she reached out to me on Instagram and offered to paint our home here in Potomac, I couldn’t say “yes” fast enough. When our portrait arrived, I was blown away. Jess captured the details of our house beautifully. What I didn’t expect, however, was the way that she brought our home to life on paper. Simply put, when I look at this watercolor I love the way that it makes me feel. This is such an amazing gift and I am so grateful. Jess is currently taking portrait commissions for the Holiday 2017 season, and I highly recommend reserving a spot on her order list asap. Without a doubt, this is a fabulous gift idea! You can check out her Etsy shop here!
Isn’t it incredible! I am in awe of her talents!
Jess says, “I love making each home look its storybook best! Every commission gives me the opportunity to spend a few hours studying and pulling out all the charming details in each unique house. I’m always striving to depict not just how your house actually looks, but also your impression of how it feels to live there.”
A work in progress. Above, Jess is experimenting with a sea salt watercolor technique.
Finally – a huge thank you to The Littlest House. We love our portrait!
